Support and Solidarity
In an effort to extend solidarity and support to fellow sufferers of PTLDS, I launched a crowd funding campaign through the International Lyme and Associated Diseases Society (ILADS). The key to preventing Lyme Disease from ruining more lives is making sure properly trained and Lyme literate doctors are accessible in every community affected by the disease.
ILADS's Lyme: Power of Us Campaign is an effort to inform, inspire and motivate individuals and groups across the world to take actions that increase awareness of Lyme disease. Funds are being raised for two main purposes: 1) a Physician Training Program that allows doctors to train with Lyme-literate physicians in order to return to their communities and offer appropriate treatment to people with Lyme disease and 2) financial support of LymeTap (an organization that helps people in financial need get Lyme testing).
